WHAT CHANGES IN 2010?

  • No changes are currently anticipated.

Homegrown, Homemade:

Remember our definition: “A finished product made from high quality materials, natural or manufactured, with the greatest portion of the product comprised of components which have been individually handcrafted to such an extent that the finished product is unique and would never be completely replicated except in the traditional sense of an artist’s signed and numbered limited edition.”

It really means what it says. The reputation of the Market rests on strict adherence to our commitment to offer only products which are handcrafted by the persons offering them for sale. Any vendor who violates this criteria will be immediately terminated from all Market participation and will forfeit all fees.

All applications will be screened for quality and appropriateness of the products to be offered for sale and we may decline participation to any vendor. We also limit the number of vendors offering the same or very similar products. After acceptance to the Market, any change or addition to your product inventory must be pre-approved by KCMA.

Vendor Identification: Each vendor is REQUIRED to display in clear view their name or the name of their business. Any vendor who accepts payment or a deposit for future delivery of a product must give the customer written contact information.

Parking Rules:

  • Handicapped Parking Lot: This lot is primarily for customers; however, vendors with handicapped sticker/plates will be allowed to park in this area.

  • General Vendor Parking: Vendors are prohibited from parking anywhere on the Courthouse block. This includes on-street parking on Jefferson adjacent to the Courthouse and Earl Garrett from Water to Jefferson St. Any vendor found to be in violation of this rule will be required to pay $25 penalty and immediately move their vehicle. A second violation will double the penalty amount.

Miscellaneous:

  • Anyone wishing to sell prepared food items MUST complete a FOOD VENDOR application and obtain a City of Kerrville Health Permit. (Kerrville Health Dept.830-792-8352)

  • Limited electricity and rental canopies are available and must be reserved and paid in advance. Call to confirm availability before sending payment.

  • Canopy stakes cannot be placed into the pavement or ground and canopies must be sufficiently weighted to prevent them from blowing over (it always gets windy).

  • Vendors with a SINGLE VEHICLE must arrive, unload and move vehicles out of market area no later than 8:30 a.m.; vendors with TRAILERS must remove their vehicles from the Market area no later than 8:00 a.m. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

  • State Sales Tax Permit is required and must be displayed at your booth. For information, please call 1-800-252-5555 (State Controller’s Office).

  • Primary communications are by email so if you have an email address please include it on your application and CHECK YOUR EMAIL FREQUENTLY.

  • Applications are processed in the order received. Faxed applications will be processed by the fax date if the original form and check are received within 5 days of the fax date.

  • You may call to confirm your application has been received. You will be contacted if any questions arise regarding you application; otherwise you may assume your application has been accepted and you have a reserved space. Booth assignments are made on the Thursday preceding the Market.

And, finally, the Market continues to thrive and we expect it to be bigger and better than ever in 2010. An atmosphere of friendliness, helpfulness and courtesy has always been a part of this event and will continue to make this Market a special place. We look forward to another year of fun and profit for everyone.

If you need to discuss payment arrangements, please feel free to call. Otherwise, payment in full must accompany your application. We all look forward to seeing you in ‘10!

Sincerely,

Jackie & LuAnn Kevin & Deena
